Saskatoon WDM Building New Exhibit on Boomtown
The addition of the Edwards Funeral Home, with its roots dating back over 100 years, is in keeping with the Boomtown theme. Like museums everywhere, the WDM strives to present historically accurate exhibits – even when the subject matter may be complex or difficult. Dealing with death and grief is a universal experience, and death was an ever-present reality in 1910 Boomtown, as it is today.
The WDM celebrates all of our volunteers all year and during
National Volunteer Week
April 12-18, 2015
The WDM has just released its statistics for the volunteer hours that have been donated by its very dedicated volunteer core in 2014. 54,737 hours of volunteer service were donated to the WDM locations in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon, Yorkton as well as the Curatorial Centre.
Hats off to the incredible commitment our volunteer make to to the WDM, helping make us a living and vibrant Museum!
