25, 2010 Moose Jaw - Hunter of the Prairie Sea
temporary exhibit
The Western Development Museum at Moose Jaw, in
partnership with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum is very excited to open a
new exhibit entitled
Hunter of the
Prairie Sea. The exhibit features a 10 metre-long
marine reptile called a tylosaur from the age of dinosaurs. It was
discovered along the south shore of Lake Diefenbaker in 1994. Read more

With assistance from Saskatchewan’s geocaching community, the WDM now
hosts geocaches within the vicinity of the four WDM branches and the
Curatorial Centre. The geocaches are hidden in and around the grounds of

Day which has been celebrated
around the world since 1977. Celebrate this year by visiting
one of our four museum locations. With

exhibits now open at all four museums, there are plenty of
new Saskatchewan artifacts and stories to be discovered.

Moose Jaw WDM Receives Funding.
The WDM Board of Directors and staff at the Moose
Jaw Western Development Museum extend their thanks to Canadian
Heritage. On November 12, 2009, Palliser Member of Parliament Ray
Boughen announced that the Moose Jaw WDM would receive funding from
the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund to aid in the installation of a lift
to the upper mezzanine in the Snowbirds Gallery. Read more in the
