All Western Development Museum Locations Closed

All Western Development Museum locations in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton are CLOSED to the public effective Tuesday, March 17 due to the Covid-19 virus.
We have been monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely and the decision to close is in the best interest of our visitors, volunteers and staff. The WDM Board of Directors and the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport support this decision.
“We are committed to the health and wellbeing of people in all our communities. As the situation with Covid-19 continues to evolve rapidly, we have made the difficult decision to close all Western Development Museum locations to the public until further notice. We value the support so many in our communities have shown the WDM over the years and we look forward to welcoming you back into our Museums when it is safe to do so.” – Joan Kanigan, CEO
Management will be in contact with organizers of upcoming events booked into our facilities and we will accommodate refunds on deposits made.
We apologize for the inconvenience but the safety of everyone in our communities is our priority.

Thanks so much for the info. Nice to hear how things are going. It is pretty quiet staying in the house for 6 weeks now. Sure hope it is safe very soon.
You are so welcome Carol! We hope it is safe soon, too! We really miss all of our visitors and volunteers! Stay safe.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately all WDM locations remain closed to the public at this time. We are in Phase 4 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan which does not have a date assigned to it yet. Once we are able to re-open, our plans will be shared with the media, as well as on our website and social media channels.
We can’t wait to welcome you back!

I am wondering whether the WDM association will consider reopening (with restrictions) now that the province has entered phase 3 under the Covid19 provincial protocol?
Good Morning Ray,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the re-opening of the WDM.
The WDM is slated to open in Phase 4 as set out by the Government of Saskatchewan’s Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan. Phase 4 is now being split into two phases and the WDM is in the second phase of Phase 4. We are proceeding as directed by the provincial government. Once we are permitted to open we will communicate this through our website and social media channels.
We hope to see you soon!
