Literacy Volunteer Award Recipient

Kristine Flynn (WDM Volunteer and Programs Administration) was recently honoured by Foundations Learning and Skills Saskatchewan (formerly READ Saskatoon) as the recipient of their Literacy Volunteer Award, sponsored by Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation. Kristine has been a volunteer with Foundations Learning and Skills Saskatchewan for seven years. She has been part of the LIT UP! planning committee, helped with various campaigns, and volunteers with the Lead, adult literacy program. Kristine joined the Western Development Museum in 2008. From the WDM Corporate Office, she supports and collaborates with programming staff to create and deliver creative education programs that build historical awareness, unveil crucial context behind contemporary issues, and develop participants’ critical thinking skills.
