    Board Member

Shauna Stanley Seymour grew up on her family’s 1904 homestead north of Tisdale and continues to stay connected to it and the area through her newly discovered passion for elk hunting with her husband and father.

After brief stints in Saskatoon and Calgary, Regina was home for nearly twenty-five years. It was during that time she built her career in market and marketing research, developing a niche in moderating group discussions and relationship building within and for organizations.  These skills were put to good use when her move to the Parkland saw her switch gears into the role of Community Wellness Coordinator in the town of Springside. It was there, where the ability to connect and build relationships was most evidenced.

Her husband describes her as the ‘quarterback’ of everything she gets involved in as she has a knack for seeing the end goal clearly, then finding ways to guide a team through to that end.

Shauna has a long history of service to community organizations beginning as a figure and power skating coach in her teen years, to a decade of service within her parish and diocese, to the countless organizations and events she has led throughout her adult life. Currently, she sits as co-Chair for Yorkton Community Centre Inc. which hopes to build an outreach centre in Yorkton; she also manages social media and communication for five other community groups in the area.

She is honoured and excited to offer her time and talents to the WDM as a board member.
