Pop the Hood

This is your opportunity to connect with the WDM’s Detailing Technician volunteers. These volunteers help prevent deterioration of the vehicle through inspection under the hood. They inspect, clean, and recommend basic maintenance on these vehicles to help ensure the longevity of the WDM’s Permanent Collection.

Did you know if you restore a historic vehicle, you are left with a generic example of a vehicle type rather than a vehicle which can be regarded as an unaltered historic document.

Don’t miss the chance to meet these volunteers, learn more about the history of these vehicles and have a special look underneath the hood of the automobiles displayed in the Museum Galleries.
