Ration Cake Seek and Find

Moose Jaw

August 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025
9:00 am - 5:00 pm

People in Canada had to ration their food (which means to use less of it) during the First and Second World Wars so that more food could be sent to the troops who were fighting overseas. People were creative and tried to use different things to make their baking taste good, even if they couldn’t use their regular ingredients because of the rationing.

Search the Museum Galleries for the photo of the 11 items used in the receipt for wartime ration cake recipe. Write down the name of the artifact you spotted the ingredients at. After you’re done put it in the seek & find box on the table to be entered to win a plush Piper Cub toy.
