Iron lungs were used as treatment for people who lost control of their respiratory functions. They were also used for Polio, which is a virus that affected nerves in the brain and spinal cord.

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Moose Jaw Wakamow and Rotary Club of Moose Jaw, learn more about Polio and hear about iron lungs like the one on display in the Museum.
