Celebrate the rich tapestry of the Yorkton area at Heritage Day. This years’ theme is Building Bridges: connecting places. Join us for guest speakers, displays by the Yorkton Chapter of the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society,  presentations and refreshments. We will also be featuring The Theodore Museum Revitalization Project and the Yorkton Brick Mill.

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan. With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the Treaties to the present day.

The WDM’s facilities are situated in Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories and the Homeland of the Métis. The provincial boundaries for Saskatchewan also include Treaty 2, Treaty 5, Treaty 8 and Treaty 10 territories. Please visit WDM Reconciliation for more information.
