Friends of Canola: Beneficial Insects – 1:30 pm
Chrystel Olivier, research scientist and entomologist from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will speak on the curious bugs of Saskatchewan, including beneficial insects that help canola. Have you heard of parasitoids, green lacewings or ladybugs? Did you know that these insects are friends of canola? Come find out about their life cycle and how these creepy crawlers are beneficial to canola crops. There will be lots of cool pictures and fun facts, so don’t miss out!
“The Life of an Artifact” – 2:00 pm
Have you ever wondered how the Museum obtains its artifacts? Join Curatorial Assistants Katrina Hannah and Alex Emery to learn the process of what happens when you offer something to the WDM.
