International Women’s Day – Celebrating Viola Desmond

March 8, 2020 , 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm | Saskatoon

Viola Desmond was a brave woman who stood up for the rights of all Black people in Canada when she refused to move out of the “whites-only” section of a Nova Scotia movie theatre. In this program celebrating International Women’s Day, explore Viola’s story and make a take-home craft. Designed for ages 5 – 12.

Time

1:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm.

Regular Museum admission applies. Free for Museum members.
