While the rest of the world is getting more complex, Lisa Lambert is making food simple. In this collection of recipes, Lisa tempts you with great menu ideas that have endured through the decades and are as flavourful now as they were around her Mum’s kitchen table. You’ll find simple and quick recipes using readily available ingredients with easy-to-remember titles. And with each page having a quotation to inform, encourage, or inspire, you’ll be bookmarking as many quotes as recipes!

Lisa Lambert grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan as the middle of seven children. She enjoyed helping her mother, Marilyn Wilchuk, bake and has continued her penchant for baking with her own family. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim, and his abstract art is featured in this cookbook. She hopes this cookbook featuring simple, home-style food will serve as a practical guide for both new and experienced cooks, and will bring back comforting childhood memories.
