In 1955 the women of the Saskatchewan Homemakers’ Clubs compiled a cookbook in honor of Saskatchewan’s Golden Jubilee. They dedicated it to the women of yesterday.

In 2005 the Western Development Museum, with the support of the Saskatchewan Women’s Institute, reprinted the cookbook in honour of the province’s centennial. It was dedicated to the women and men, girls and boys, of tomorrow.

Description

The book is reprinted exactly, without alteration. The recipes and sketches, written by hand and collected from near and far in 1955, provide a glimpse of another Saskatchewan, familiar but different from the province we know today.
