The Western Development Museum - Saskatoon parking lot and front entrance are closed due to construction. Take Lorne Avenue to the temporary entrance and parking area SOUTH of the main entrance.

WDM Saskatoon Parking Lot Project Update:
August 30, 2018

 The parking lot and front entrance is inaccessible effective August 30 due to the parking lot construction.

Please proceed on Lorne Avenue to the temporary entrance and parking area SOUTH of the regular entrance on Lorne Ave. and follow the signs.

The Museum, Boomtown Cafe and Gift Shop are open regular hours

 We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.


WDM Saskatoon Parking Lot Project Update: August 14, 2018

Hamm Construction is on-site working to install a new water main from Lorne Avenue through the grounds to the Museum. This work needs to be done before the excavation of the main parking lot can begin.

Expect the closure of Lorne Avenue from Jasper Avenue to Exhibition Grounds Road August 21 - 24 for water main connection work. The closure is subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Access to the Museum from the south will not be affected.

WDM Saskatoon Announces
Major Infrastructure Project

Infrastructure repairs of approximately $2.3 million are being undertaken at the WDM Saskatoon. ASL Paving Ltd. and Catterall and Wright are overseeing the construction. Construction will begin the week of July 16, 2018 and is expected to conclude by October 31, 2018.

The project includes complete excavation of the parking area to install storm sewers and weeping tile to drain water away from the site; redeveloping the front entrance along with installing concrete curbs and lighting to improve accessibility and visitor safety, installing a new water line and re-paving the expanded parking lot area.
