Wheat Weaving

Learn the history and the art of wheat weaving in Saskatchewan, then create your own basic wheat weaving creations 

*Pre-Registration is required*

Activities include:  

  • Get hands-on to learn the basic steps of wheat weaving, including how to soak the wheat stalks and weaving techniques.
  • Take home a booklet of sample designs and extra wheat stalks so you can keep creating beautiful wheat weaving art after the workshop.

Ages:

This workshop is for individuals ages 19+.

 

Length:

This workshop is 3 hours long, including breaks.

 

Cost:

Wheat weaving hat
Wheat woven hat from the WDM Collection, WDM-1973-S-11683

WDM Members & Volunteers: $45 / person

General Public: $50 / person

Includes materials for projects in the workshop as well as additional wheat stalks for future projects.
