Gardening in Saskatchewan

Explore plants native to Saskatchewan and some of the insects that visit our gardens like butterflies, dragonflies, and fireflies.

Activities include:  

  • Make insect inspired crafts, including a dragonfly napkin holder, firefly lantern, butterfly bracelet, and butterfly feeder. Take home a Butterfly BINGO card to play outside this summer.

  • Make a take-home fairy garden
    Each fairy garden includes: fairy garden container, everything you need to make a magical landscape (sea glass, bark, coloured sand, river rocks, reindeer moss), one fairy house, one Saskatchewan hardy plantone beautiful butterfly decoration.

Ages:

This workshop is for families to do together or for kids ages 8-12.
Please check the workshop date and location below carefully to be sure you are attending a session appropriate for your group or kids.

 

Length:

This workshop is 3 hours long, including breaks.

 

Cost:

WDM Members & Volunteers: $31.50 / person

General Public: $35 / person
