Museum Galleries and gift shop are open Monday to Wednesday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Thursday from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm and Friday to Sunday from 9:00 m – 5:00 pm. The Boomtown Cafe is open daily from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Museum Closed on Family Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
Museum Closed at 3:00 pm on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve.

Sensory Backpack Program

Children and youth who live with sensory processing disabilities such as autism often do not have the ability to filter our external stimuli (loud sounds; bright lights) making outings difficult for both them and their families.

Group Rates
Group rates can be offered to groups of 10 or more who pre-book a visit to the Western Development Museum. These rates will only be honoured for groups that pre-book a minimum of one day in advance.
