New Board of Directors Announced for the Western Development Museum

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is pleased to announce the members of the Board of Directors recently appointed by His Honour, the Honourable Russell Mirasty, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.

The WDM welcomes two new members to the Board. Tom Richards, from Saskatoon, has been appointed as Director. Tom is a lawyer who specializes in labour and employment law.  He has a life-long interest in history and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field.  Tom believes strongly in the importance of public understanding of history and historical context.  He is proud to assist the WDM in the promotion of these objectives. Shauna Stanley-Seymour, from Springside, has been appointed as Director. Shauna has built her career in market and marketing research. She has a long history of service to community organizations. Currently, she sits as co-Chair for Yorkton Community Centre Inc., and manages social media and communication for other community groups in the area.

Nancy Martin (Regina) has been reappointed as Chair.  Raymond Sadler (Biggar) has been reappointed as Director, and Susan Lamb (Saskatoon), Jack Dawes (Saltcoats), and Gwen Beitel (Spring Valley) are continuing members of the Board.

The Board of Directors serve as Trustees for the WDM on behalf of the community and are responsible for ensuring the WDM fulfils its mandate and mission.
