Now that it’s June and summer weather is here to stay, it’s time for another #MemoryMondays! This month we’re sharing photos of two popular summer vacation spots in Saskatchewan: Prince Albert’s Little Red River Park and Blackstrap!

This colourized photo from 1952 was taken at Little Red River Par near a dam sluice. A person can be seen sitting on the left-hand bank of the river.

This colourized photo was also taken at Little Red River Park in August 1941. Three people are seated near a tree overlooking the river.

This photo was taken on July 6, 1947 at Blackstrap, along the highway to Hanley. A farmhouse and outbuildings can be seen on the far right-hand side of the image.

This photo was taken at the same time as the previous photo, on July 6, 1947, also along the highway between Blackstrap and Hanley. The car in the image belonged to the photographer.
