The WDM holds over 75,000 artifacts along with over 500,000 archival, photographic, and library materials in trust for the people of Saskatchewan. From pins to locomotives to a grain elevator, the WDM’s Collections touch on all aspects of life in Saskatchewan.
The Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan. With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the Treaties to the present day.
The WDM’s facilities are situated in Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories and the Homeland of the Métis. The provincial boundaries for Saskatchewan also include Treaty 2, Treaty 5, Treaty 8 and Treaty 10 territories. Please visit WDM Reconciliation for more information.
