Learn the art of leather craft through this hands-on workshop. This session combines historical context with practical instruction to complete a drawstring pouch. No previous experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity. Participants will learn embossing, lacing and button skills as they craft their drawstring pouch.

Due to the labour involved, each workshop is suitable for ages 12 – 16. Younger crafters cannot be accepted at this time.

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan. With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the Treaties to the present day.
