From April 27 – August 9, 2026, learn about Treaty history in Canada by walking along a massive timeline. From pre-contact through the early and numbered Treaties to today, visitors can follow the journey as it flows from one date to another.
The Treaty Timeline was made in partnership with the Office of the Treaty Commissioner.
The Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan. With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the Treaties to the present day.
The WDM’s facilities are situated in Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories and the Homeland of the Métis. The provincial boundaries for Saskatchewan also include Treaty 2, Treaty 5, Treaty 8 and Treaty 10 territories. Please visit WDM Reconciliation for more information.
