Orientation & Training

We provide an orientation for all volunteers. You’ll learn more about the WDM, tour the facility, go through our safety protocols, and learn about our current volunteer opportunities. Contact us about upcoming orientation sessions.

We also provide training for volunteer roles.

The WDM North Battleford is especially pleased to have three working steam engines. We have a Case 110, Case 75, and Nichols & Shepard in working condition. The awesome power and size of these steam tractors are amazing to see in action, and we are proud to have a certified crew to maintain and operate them.

Our volunteer teamsters and horse owners are committed to providing knowledge of horsemanship as well as ensuring the safety of all.  The horses are a favorite for young and old.  We offer many activities that involve wagon rides, equipment demonstrations and horse care.

If you have interest in horses or have your own team, this is the role for you!

Volunteers are key in creating the hands-on element to our exhibits, programs and events.

Interpreters/Demonstrators are volunteers who are in one of the Village buildings or in a specific area of the Museum. They interpret and share information with visitors.

Education

We offer a wide range of Museum education programs to local educators and their students. Volunteers provide skills for the planning and implementing of these education programs. If you want to be a part of educating our youth, this is where you need to be.

Events
