The Board of Directors approves a new vision statement for the WDM: To embody Saskatchewan’s diverse cultural heritage and inspire curiosity in our shared histories.
The large-scale upgrade to the Room D storage area at the Curatorial and Corporate Services Centre was completed. The project included upgrades to artifact storage racks and the photographing, inventorying and transferring of approximately 3,072 artifacts by curatorial staff.
In April, the WDM Moose Jaw steam program was the recipient of the City of Moose Jaw Municipal Heritage Award in the Advocacy/Education category. The award recognized the WDM’s steam program for bringing Saskatchewan’s steam-powered past to life through interpretation, training and public engagement.
