Late Night Thursdays

Make Thursdays your day to explore the WDM Saskatoon! Every Thursday evening (5:00 – 8:00 pm) is admission by donation – experience fascinating demonstrations, enjoy hands-on activities, and support the Museum while you’re at it. There’s something for everyone to discover!

As an added bonus, there will be extra activities taking place from 5:00 – 7:30 pm, including button-making, artifact handling, model trains and more!

Blacksmithing Demo
Come see our trained blacksmiths at work in the blacksmith shop on Boomtown Street. This heritage skill is one that is exciting to watch and learn about.

Saskatchewan-themed National Film Board films in the Discovery Room
Join us in the Discovery Room for short National Film Board films that tell Saskatchewan stories.

Button Making
Make a WDM keepsake to take home to remember your visit. Buttons are fun to design and make so roll up your sleeves and make a button with us!

Hands on Artifact Handling – Reminiscence Kit
Get hands-on with some artifacts that capture what life was like in Saskatchewan in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

Before the telephone there was the telegraph. Learn about this heritage skill that helped people communicate across long distances with our knowledgeable WDM volunteers.

Model Train Demonstration with the Saskatoon Railway Modelers
Join the Saskatoon Railway Modelers club members as they demonstrate the amazing model train set they have designed. These knowledgeable volunteers will show you the art of scale-model trains and their environments.
