Pop in and Play with the WDM
Join us in the Education Room for on-going activities throughout the day in three different zones. Take this opportunity to have your child connect with the WDM and our hands-on artifacts in a fun and interactive way. Activities are designed for ages 3 – 6 with visitors of all ages welcome. Free with Museum admission.
Schoolhouse zone: What was it like to attend school in the early 1900’s? Have your child experience this by copying a phrase from the chalkboard onto slates. This is a chance to “play school”, sit at the desks and have them feel the chalk on their hands.
Hands-on zone: Participate in hands-on activities that will engage your senses. Dig in wheat to find farm animals, create a vibrant butterfly craft or practice your DIY skills matching nuts and bolts. A different activity will be featured every session.
Cozy story zone: Sit back and relax for a moment while reading a storybook with your little one. Explore each book’s connection to Saskatchewan.
