Description

For those who celebrate, Christmas is a time when thoughts turn to family gatherings, decorated trees, turkey dinners, brightly wrapped gifts and Christmas carols. Over 100 years ago, settler children had the same sense of anticipation as they looked forward to Christmas.

The WDM Yorkton invites Pre-K to Grade 6 students to join us for Celebrate Christmas Past, a two-hour program that teaches students about Christmas traditions and encourages them to think about how these traditions compare to today.

Students rotate through three activities:

  • A craft session for your grade
  • A Christmas-themed gallery scavenger hunt
  • Wagon ride around WDM grounds

The program finishes with a snack and includes a take home festive treat bag for each registered and paid student.
