The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) – 11:00 am
In this presentation, hear an overview of how during the Second World War, recruits from Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere trained at air bases across the country, including twenty-one flying training units in Saskatchewan. Learn how the wide-open prairie skies made an ideal location for these new pilots to train with the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) and about some of the aircraft that were flown.

From knitted socks and war bonds to victory parades and post-war recovery, see how the people of Saskatchewan were able to help those who were serving abroad.
