Steam traction engines like this one are maintained and operated at WDM events by volunteers certified by the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK). Come out to events like the the Threshermen’s Show and Seniors’ Festival at the WDM Yorkton to see these giant machines in action.

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan. With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the Treaties to the present day.

The WDM’s facilities are situated in Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories and the Homeland of the Métis. The provincial boundaries for Saskatchewan also include Treaty 2, Treaty 5, Treaty 8 and Treaty 10 territories. Please visit WDM Reconciliation for more information.
