WDM VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER RECEIVES VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS OF CANADA AWARD

The Western Development Museum is thrilled to announce that Kristine Flynn, Volunteer Engagement Manager has been awarded a 2023 Exemplary Impact Award from Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC).

The award recognizes volunteer management professionals who have been in the field of volunteer management for eight years or more and who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and knowledge in the field of volunteer management.
Kristine joined the WDM in 2008 as part of the WDM Education department creating and delivering school and public programs. She was also pivotal in the creation of the previous WDM website. Recently Kristine took on the role of Volunteer Engagement Manager, where she manages and supports the work of volunteer coordinators and assistants at the Museum location.
She is Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration and President of the Administrators of Volunteer Resources – Saskatchewan. In 2022, she was recognized with the Dakota Dunes CDC Literacy Volunteer Award from Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan (formerly Read Saskatoon).
