Founded by Devon Fiddler in Saskatoon in 2014, SheNative is a high-end fashion brand with the goal of empowering Indigenous women and girls. This T-shirt features the iconic #warrior graphic from SheNative’s first apparel collection.

Inspiration and Action
Devon Fiddler, a Cree woman and mother from Waterhen Lake First Nation, started SheNative to challenge stereotypes and perceptions and to inspire other Indigenous women and girls. One way she works to accomplish these goals is by hiring only Indigenous women as designers, production workers and models.

This is part of a recent resurgence of contemporary Indigenous fashion. Indigenous-designed and manufactured clothing and accessories are in high demand, from both Indigenous and non-Indigenous customers.

Positive Change
In 2016, SheNative became one of the first two Indigenous-owned businesses to become a SheEO venture. SheEO is an organization that provides interest-free loans and business coaching to women-owned businesses that work to create positive change.
